ANALISA PENGGUNAAN METODE MNEMONIC DALAM MENINGKATKAN DAYA INGAT PESERTA DIDIK PADA MASA PERKEMBANGAN DEWASA AWAL

ABSTRACTÂThis study was conducted in order to provide an overview of the implementation of the use of the Mnemonic method in improving memory in students who have entered early adulthood. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach. The data collection technique was through a survey with an incidental sampling technique. The results of the study obtained that male students are more dominant in using the chunking type of mnemonic method than other types of mnemonic, while female students are more dominant in using the rhyme type of mnemonic method than other types of mnemonic. However, male and female students are minimal in using the acrostic type of mnemonic method and visual observation.

Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam rangka untuk memberikan gambaran mengenai impelementasi penggunaan metode Mnemonic dalam meningkatkan daya ingat pada peserta didik yang telah memasuki masa dewasa awal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui survey dengan teknik incidental sampling. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh bahwasanya peserta didik laki laki lebih dominan menggunakan metode mnemonic jenis chunking dari pada jenis mnemonic yang lain, sedangkan peserta didik perempuan lebih dominan menggunakan metode mnemonic jenis rima dari pada jenis mnemonic yang lainnya. Namun peserta didik laki laki dan perempuan minim dalam penggunaan metode mnemonic jenis akrostik dan pengamatan visual.
