Peran Kritis Teknik Gambar Bentuk dalam Proses Desain
Abstract
ABSTRAK
Proses desain melibatkan pengintegrasian elemen estetika, fungsi, dan konteks untuk menciptakan solusi visual yang efektif. Teknik gambar bentuk memiliki peran penting dalam mengomunikasikan konsep, memvisualisasikan ide, dan memfasilitasi interaksi antara desainer dan klien. Meskipun perkembangan teknologi digital telah mengubah pandangan desain akan pentingnya teknik gambar bentuk namun tetap relevan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendalami peran teknik gambar bentuk dalam desain modern dan dampaknya terhadap komunikasi visual. Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data seperti studi literatur, observasi, wawancara, survei dan studi kasus. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teknik gambar bentuk tetap memiliki kontribusi dalam meningkatkan pemahaman tentang desain dari segi manual dan memperkuat komunikasi visual. Integrasi dalam perkembangan teknologi era digital dalam praktik gambar bentuk juga diakui sebagai cara yang lebih efektif untuk menggabungkan keunggulan teknik tradisional dengan kemajuan teknologi. Teknologi digital dapat berperan sebagai pendukung yang kuat, memperkaya dan mempercepat proses kreatif. Oleh karena itu, pemahaman dan penggunaan teknik gambar bentuk perlu terus diperhatikan dalam pendidikan desain dan praktik industri, sehingga desainer dapat menghasilkan solusi inovatif dan efektif dalam berbagai konteks desain.

ABSTRACT
The design process involves integrating elements of aesthetics, function, and context to create effective visual solutions. Form drawing techniques have an important role in communicating concepts, visualizing ideas, and facilitating interaction between designers and clients. Although the development of digital technology has changed the design view of the importance of form drawing techniques, they remain relevant. This study aims to explore the role of shape drawing techniques in modern design and their impact on visual communication. The research approach uses data collection techniques such as literature studies, observations, interviews, surveys and case studies. The results showed that the fixed form drawing technique has a contribution in improving the understanding of design in terms of manual and strengthen visual communication. Integration in the technological development of the digital age in the practice of form drawing is also recognized as a more effective way to combine the advantages of traditional techniques with technological advances. Digital technology can act as a powerful support, enriching and accelerating the creative process. Therefore, the understanding and use of shape drawing techniques need to be constantly considered in design education and industrial practice, so that designers can produce innovative and effective solutions in a variety of design contexts.
