Abstract


This research analyzes the concept of literary anthropology in the film “Mencuri Raden Saleh” to understand how the film represents aspects of human culture and society. The research methods used include content analysis, case studies, qualitative analysis, interviews, and literature studies. The results show that the movie depicts various aspects of Indonesian culture and society, using myth as an important element to enrich the narrative. The movie also reflects the kinship system and social structure in society, as well as the dynamics of social interaction between the characters. These findings provide new insights into how movies can be a mirror for human culture and life, as well as a contribution to the study of literary anthropology. The objectives of writing in this article about the film “Mencuri Raden Saleh” are (1) Analyzing the concept of literary anthropology reflected in the film “Mencuri Raden Saleh” to understand how the film represents aspects of human culture and society. (2) Examining the use of myth in the film “Mencuri Raden Saleh” from the perspective of literary anthropology to understand the role of myth in building narrative andmeaning in the film. (3) Identify how the literary works in the film “Mencuri Raden Saleh” reflect the kinship system and customs of Indonesian society, using a literary anthropology approach to understand the social relationships between the characters in the film.
