PENGARUH PENERAPAN EWS TERHADAP LAMA PERAWATAN DI GRAHA AMERTA RSUD DR.SOETOMO

Length of stay (LOS) atau lama perawatan masih menjadi masalah utama dalam manajemen rumah sakit akan tetapi dapat diprediksi dengan early warning score (EWS) ketika pasien masuk ruangan atau EWS pra rumah sakit. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan EWS terhadap lama perawatan di Graha Amerta RSUD Dr.Soetomo. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan prospektif dengan 60 pasien. Variabel penelitian ini meliputi EWS yang diukur dengan Format EWS dan lama perawatan yang di observasi menggunakan lembar observasi. Analisis yang digunakan adalah spearman rank. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagian besar skor EWS pasien dalam kategori normal atau 81.7%. Berdasarkan lama rawat inap ditemukan bahwa sebagian besar lama rawat inap pasien dalam kategori 4-6 hari atau 51.7%. Â Uji statistik menunjukkan spearman menunjukkan tidak ada hubungan antara skor EWS dan lama rawat inap dengan nilai p value 0,097, dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,217. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa EWS belum dapat digunakan dalam memprediksi lama rawat inap pasien. Pasien dengan skor EWS normal memiliki lama rawat inap 4-6 hari hal ini disebabkan karena sebagian besar pasien merupakan pasien kanker yang melakukan kemoterapi dan dilanjutkan dengan perbaikan kondisi. Untuk itu diperlukan pengembangan EWS khusus pasien kanker sehingga memungkinkan memprediksi dengan tepat lama rawat inap yang akan dijalani pasien dan pelatihan staf untuk meningkatkan pemahaman penerapan EWSReferensi
