OPTIMASI MANAJEMEN BANDWIDTH DI SMK NASIONAL MALANG MENGGUNAKAN METODE HTB DAN DOUBLE EXPONENTIAL SMOOTHING

Pada SMK Nasional Malang, menerapkan jaringan komputer berbasis Hotspot MikroTik untuk mendukung aktivitas pembelajaran dan administrasi. Namun, pengelolaan bandwidth saat ini hanya terbatas pada level user profile Hotspot yang memiliki keterbatasan dalam hal fleksibilitas dan efisiensi. Setiap pengguna mendapatkan alokasi bandwidth yang sama tanpa memperhitungkan tingkat pemakaian aktual, sehingga menyebabkan ketidakseimbangan dalam pemanfaatan bandwidth dan berdampak pada performa jaringan, terutama saat terjadi lonjakan jumlah pengguna. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, metode Hierarchical Token Bucket (HTB) dapat diterapkan untuk optimalisasi jaringan, dimana metode ini menggunakan struktur hirarki yang nantinya pembagian bandwith akan diatur berdasarkan hirarki dan lebih fleksibel dalam penggunaannya. HTB memungkinkan pembagian bandwidth menjadi parent dan child queue yang memberikan fleksibilitas lebih dalam mengelola prioritas pengguna. Selain itu, metode peramalan Double Exponential Smoothing (DES) digunakan untuk memprediksi pola penggunaan bandwidth dengan mempertimbangkan tren perubahan dari waktu ke waktu. Dengan memadukan HTB dan DES, SMK Nasional Malang dapat menerapkan pengelolaan bandwidth yang lebih efisien dan dinamis. Hasil prediksi DES digunakan untuk menentukan alokasi bandwidth yang optimal dalam konfigurasi HTB, sehingga alokasi bandwidth dapat diatur lebih fleksibel sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengguna yang bervariasi.References
