Rancang Bangun PLTS Off Grid Sebagai Sumber Daya Listrik Laboratorium Teknik Mesin Universitas Mayasari Bakti
Abstract
Surya atau matahari yaitu suatu sumber energi alternatif terbesar yang terdapat di bumi. Energi matahari memiliki jumlah yang sangat melimpah dan ramah terhadap lingkungan. Workshop Teknik Mesin Universitas Mayasari Bakti saat ini mengandalkan pasokan listrik sepenuhnya dari PLN untuk mendukung aktivitas operasional sehari-hari. Dengan semakin meningkatnya biaya listrik dan berpotensi untuk mengurangi ketergantungan ini dengan memasang Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya (PLTS). Metode penelitian yang di gunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu eksperimental yang diawali dengan analisis sinar matahari disekitaran laboratorium teknik mesin, kemudian menyiapkan alat dan bahan PLTS, Selanjutnya Masuk ke proses Pembuatan dudukan Panel surya yang diwalai dengan memotong besi siku, pengelasan dan penghalusan sisa pengelasan. Selanjutnya merakit rangkaian Kelistrikan PLTS dan Tes Kinerja PLTS Off-Grid. Hasil uji kinerja menunjukkan bahwa PLTS Off Grid dengan kapasitas 400 Wp mampu menghasilkan arus 5089 Ampere dalam waktu 8 jam. Dengan rata-rata arus yang dihasilkan dalam 1 jam adalah 848,17 Ampere. Untuk ampere terbesar didapatkan pada pukul 12.00-13.00 sebesar 925 Ampere.
