ANALISIS NUMERIK PENGARUH PERUBAHAN JARAK PITCH TERHADAP CAPAIAN TORSI PADA TURBIN ULIR PORTABEL MENGGUNAKAN SIMULASI COMPUTATIONAL FLUID DYNAMICS (CFD)

Turbin ulir Archimedes merupakan salah satu teknologi yang sesuai untuk pembangkit listrik tenaga air dengan head rendah karena memiliki konstruksi sederhana dan mampu beroperasi pada debit aliran yang relatif kecil. Namun, penelitian mengenai pengaruh variasi pitch terhadap performa turbin ulir portabel masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh variasi pitch terhadap capaian torsi turbin ulir portabel menggunakan metode Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). Simulasi dilakukan pada model turbin satu bilah dengan sudut kemiringan 45° dan kecepatan aliran masuk 1 m/s. Variasi pitch yang dianalisis adalah 60 mm dan 90 mm menggunakan model turbulensi k-ω SST. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa pitch 60 mm menghasilkan torsi tertinggi sebesar 2,083 Nm, sedangkan pitch 90 mm menghasilkan torsi sebesar 1,337 Nm. Pitch 60 mm menghasilkan distribusi tekanan yang lebih merata dan karakteristik aliran yang lebih stabil sehingga interaksi fluida dengan sudu menjadi lebih efektif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variasi pitch berpengaruh signifikan terhadap performa turbin ulir portabel, dan konfigurasi pitch 60 mm direkomendasikan untuk aplikasi mikrohidro ber-head rendah
