PENGARUH VARIASI KUAT ARUS PENGELASAN TUNGSTEN INERT GAS (TIG) TERHADAP KEKUATAN TARIK HASIL SAMBUNGAN LAS PADA BAJA KARBON

Pada zaman sekarang ini proses penyambungan logam dengan pengelasan sangat banyak digunakan. Ketika penyambungan dengan menggunakan pengelasan semakin banyak penting pula kita
harus mengetahui standard - standard yang di jadikan acuan untuk menentukan apakah hasil welding
sudah baik. selain hal itu, Pengujian pengelasan sangatlah penting dalam proses pengelasan. Dengan
pengujian pengelasan maka kita akan mengetahui apakah hasil las an memang sudah di katakan baik
dan siap untuk di gunakan. Karena jika memang hasil lasan kurang bagus dan dipaksakan untuk di
gunakan dalam konstruksi maka akan berakibat fatal bagi pengguna. Dalam penulisan ini, penulis
membahas mengenai pengarus variasi kuat arus pengelasan tungsten insert gas (TIG) terhadap
kekuatan tarik hasil sambungan las. Pengujian ini menggunakan 2 spesimen yang masing – masing
menggunakan 2 macam variasi pengelasan. Pengujian yang dilakukan adalah uji mikro, uji
kekerasan dan uji tarik. Dari hasil pengujian dan data – data yang dapat kita bisa menentukan besar
arus yang cocok untuk untuk ketebalan 0.68 mm dan 1.2 mm agar mendapatkan kekuatan tarik dan
regangan yang cukup.
