Abstract

Energi menjadi faktor penentu dalam upaya perusahaan agar bisa unggul didalam industri persemenan secara nasional. Jika dilihat dari faktor biaya produksi COGM (Cost Of Goods Manufactured)  PT Semen Padang dalam lima tahun terakhir ini maka porsi biaya energi selalu menempati posisi teratas dengan persentase sebanyak 45% - 52% dari total biaya produksi semen. Oleh karena itu untuk memenangkan persaingan di industri persemenan yang semakin ketat ini perlu dilakukan pengelolaan dalam pemakaian energi yang lebih efektif dan efesien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kontribusi dari implementasi manajemen energi di PT Semen Padang dalam mengurangi pemakaian energi pada proses produksi semen. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa implementasi manajemen energi di PT Semen Padang memberikan dampak yang signifikan terhadap pengurangan konsumsi energi dan meningkatkan competitive advantage perusahaan yang nantinya berdampak pada meningkatnya bottom line PT Semen Padang.
