KAJIAN PSIKOLOGI SASTRA DALAM FILM IMPERFECT: KARIER, CINTA & TIMBANGAN

Abstract

This journal article was created with the aim of finding psychological values contained in the movie Imperfect: Career, Love & Scales. The movie Imperfect: Career, Love & Scales is a work that depicts the emotional and psychological journey of its characters. Through literary psychology analysis, this study examines how the film reflects Abraham H. Maslow's concept of graded needs and the impact of the author's psychology in portraying characters with mental problems. The descriptive qualitative research method is used to analyze the film's narrative and understand the characters' journey of need fulfillment and self-actualization. The results show that the movie reflects aspects of human psychology through character development, plot, and conflict. The impact of the author's psychology in portraying the characters is also seen through the depth of character, the development of motivation, the creation of meaningful conflicts, the development of relationships between characters, and the delivery of deep themes.
