Abstract

The possessive film is an Indonesian psychological drama film that shows a brutal teenage love story, but this is the reality conveyed by the director to the audience so that the audience can be more aware of the possessive elements included in the film. This film shows scenes of violence that occur in high school teenagers' dating relationships, as well as how teenagers respond to this violence. This film also shows differences in responses from informants, which are caused by the informant's background, experience and environment. This film focuses on the representation of violence against partners in "possessive" films and depicts the psychological impact of unhealthy relationships, such as emotional manipulation, excessive jealousy.
