The integration plan of Pelita Air into Garuda Indonesia Group emerges as a strategic response to prolonged financial distress in Indonesia’s aviation sector. Garuda Indonesia and its subsidiaries have faced significant financial challenges, requiring restructuring and strategic renewal. The integration of Pelita Air is projected to strengthen group synergy, optimize resources, and enhance competitiveness. This study aims to analyze how financial restructuring and strategic capability integration can transform crisis into sustainable advantage. A qualitative approach is employed, using case study analysis, financial reports, and industry benchmarking to evaluate the integration roadmap. Findings suggest that aligning financial recovery with strategic initiatives such as governance reform, digital innovation, and operational efficiency creates resilience and long term value. The study proposes a phased integration strategy, stronger alliance management, and customer centric innovation to ensure sustainable growth. As the integration remains a plan, outcomes are prospective and subject to external factors such as regulatory approval, market volatility, and execution risks. Ultimately, this research contributes to the discourse on airline restructuring in emerging economies, positioning financial recovery not merely as survival, but as a catalyst for sustainable competitive advantage.
