Plagiarism Policy

Globish: An English-Indonesian Journal of English Education and Culture is committed to upholding academic integrity and publication ethics. All submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by another journal.

Every manuscript is screened using Turnitin before the peer-review process. Plagiarism includes copying words, ideas, data, figures, tables, or other intellectual property without proper citation, including self-plagiarism.

Levels of Plagiarism

1. Minor Plagiarism

Limited copying of words or short passages without proper citation.

Editorial Action: The manuscript is returned to the author for revision and proper citation.

2. Moderate Plagiarism

Copying substantial text, ideas, or data without appropriate acknowledgment.

Editorial Action: The manuscript is rejected.

3. Severe Plagiarism

Extensive copying, duplicate publication, data fabrication, or serious self-plagiarism.

Editorial Action: The manuscript is rejected, and the Editorial Board may prohibit future submissions. In serious cases, the author's institution may be notified in accordance with COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines.

Author Responsibilities

Authors must ensure that:

• The manuscript is original.
• All sources are properly cited.
• The manuscript has not been published or submitted elsewhere.
• Any overlap with previous publications is clearly disclosed.
