Gambaran Pengetahuan, Sikap dan Praktik Mahasiswa Keperawatan terhadap Pemberian Bantuan Hidup Dasar di Poltekkes Kemenkes Palangka Raya

Abstract


Latar belakang: Kegawatdaruratan dapat terjadi di mana saja, kapan saja tanpa peringatan, karena kondisi ini tidak direncanakan, sehingga sangat penting bagi setiap orang untuk mempersiapkan apa yang harus dilakukan ketika menghadapi situasi. Basic Life Support (BLS) dan resusitasi yang berkualitas tinggi adalah alat vital untuk membantu kondisi yang mengancam jiwa sampai keadaan darurat dapat dikelola oleh tenaga medis yang profesional. Tujuan: Penelitian ini menilai tingkat pengetahuan, sikap, dan praktik terhadap bantuan hidup dasar pada mahasiswa keperawatan tingkat 1 program Diploma dan Sarjana di Poltekkes Kemenkes Palangka Raya. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan studi cross-sectional. Sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 40 responden dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil: Gambaran responden terbesar pada jenis kelamin perempuan (77,5 %), usia 18 tahun (67,5 %), dan sebagian besar belum pernah mengikuti pelatihan BLS (85 %), pengetahuan yang baik (90%), praktik yang buruk (80%) dan memiliki sikap yang positif (80%) terhadap pemberian BLS. Simpulan: Peningkatan kemampuan tentang pengetahuan, sikap dan praktik terhadap BLS sejak dini pada masa perkuliahan merupakan hal penting. Hasil penelitian ini merekomendasikan bahwa BLS harus menjadi kompetensi inti di semua profesi kesehatan dan harus dimasukkan dalam kurikulum. Diharapkan  penelitian selanjutnya untuk melakukan penelitian skala besar dengan melibatkan responden mahasiswa medis dan non-medis.
