Focus and Scope

The Journal of Systems and Information Technology provides an avenue for scholarly work where the focus is on applications of information technology and/or information analytics to research problems in built, business, cultural and natural environments.

 

Peer Review Process

The submitted manuscript is first reviewed by an editor. It will be evaluated in the office, whether it is suitable for International Journal of Advances in Intelligent Informatics focus and scope or has a major methodological flaw and similiarity score by using iThenticate.

The manuscript will be sent to at least two anonymous reviewers (Single Blind Review). Reviewers' comments are then sent to the corresponding author for necessary actions and responses.

The suggested decision will be evaluated in an editorial board meeting. Afterwards, the editor will send the final decision to the corresponding author.

Review Outcomes

Utilizing feedback from the peer review process, the Editor will make a final publication decision. The review process will take approximately 2 to 5 weeks. Decisions categories include:

  • Reject - Rejected manuscripts will not be published and authors will not have the opportunity to resubmit a revised version of the manuscript to JIKA.
  • Resubmit for Review– The submission needs to be re-worked, but with significant changes, may be accepted. However, It will require a second round of review.
  • Accept wtih Revisions - Manuscripts receiving an accept-pending-revisions decision will be published in JIKA under the condition that minor/major modifications are made. Revisions will be reviewed by an editor to ensure necessary updates are made prior to publication.
  • Accept - Accepted manuscripts will be published in the current form with no further modifications required.

Correspondence

All correspondence concerning manuscripts should be directed to the Editor of JIKA and cc to jika.umt@gmail.com. The Editor will direct all correspondence to the lead author; the lead author is responsible for sharing communications with other authors. Beyond communication concerning the review, manuscripts accepted for publication may require additional correspondence to complete copyediting and layout editing.

This Journal item is published in Frequency 4 editions per year ( January, April, July and October )

Open Access Policy

This journal is an open access journal which provides immediate, worldwide, barrier-free access to the full text of all published articles without charge readers or their institutions for access. Readers have right to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of all articles in International Journal of Advances in Intelligent Informatics. This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Journal History

2017

  • [January, 2017] The first edition of JIKA: Journal of Informatics is published in print and online. Articles published in this edition (Volume 1 Number 1) are published without a review process. This journal publishes 10 articles in one volume.
  • [October, 2017] The Second edition of JIKA: Journal of Informatics is published in print and online. Articles published in this edition (Volume 1 Number 2) are published with a review process. Since the second publication, JIKA: Journal of Informatics has been listed on several national and international index. In this edition, we have submitted our articles to Crossref to have DOI. However, DOI on volume 1 was not detected, due to a change from https to http. 

2018

  • [August , 2018] The article publishing process has gone through a review process and there have been changes in the Author Guidelines (writing style).

2019

  • [February, 2019] We have improved the quality of article writing. In the publication of Volume 3 Number 1, we have changed the Author Guidelines (writing style) based on advice of the assessor.

  • [January, 2023] JIKA Journal has promote into 4 time issue in a years (February, May, August and November).

2024

  • [January, 2024] JIKA Journal has promote into 4 time issue in a years (January, April, July and October).
