Motor Bakar : Jurnal Teknik Mesin is a journal that publishes scientific articles on mechanical engineering in the field of energy conversion, design and manufacturing techniques and automotive engineering. The scientific articles received are original (not plagiarism), through the screening of reviewers and decided by the chief editor.

Peer Review Process
Motor Bakar Jurnal Teknik Mesin has the following review policy:
- Every incoming paper will be checked using web check plagiarism and grammar, for articles in English using grammarly.com, while for Indonesian language articles follow PUEBI (Pedoman Umum Ejaan Bahasa Indonesia).
- Articles to be published are articles which have a level of similarity of less than 20% overall, or a maximum of 3% per cited/quoted source.
- Every incoming paper will go through a review process.
- The review process uses blind peer review.
- In the review process, reviewers give consideration related to the novelty, scientific impact, conclusions and references used.
- Acceptance of an article by the Editor depends on the novelty of the research, the significance of the article, the correctness of the content, the level of originality, clarity of description, and compliance with the journal's objectives.
- If the review process requires a revision, it will be informed to the author on the web and via email.
- The revised results will be reviewed again, if they meet the requirements will be published.

Motor Bakar Jurnal Teknik Mesin
Motor Bakar : Jurnal Teknik Mesin is an online journal of Mechanical Engineering program at the Faculty of Engineering, Muhammadiyah University, Tangerang, which contains articles on research results in the field of Energy Conversion, Design and Engineering of Manufacture, and Automotive Engineering. As a forum for lecturers and students in making scientific work, because it is following the demands of the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi, namely, Education, Research and Community Service, a Journal of Mechanical Engineering was made.
Publication Ethics
This statement clarifies the ethical behavior of all parties involved in the act of publishing a manuscript in the Motor Bakar Jurnal Teknik Mesin, which is managed by the Prodi Teknik Mesin Fakultas Teknik Universitas Muhammadiyah Tangerang, including the authors, editors, and reviewers.
This statement is based on COPE’s Best Practice standards.
1. Ethical Guidelines for Journal Publication
The publication of a manuscript is very important to note related to its ethics, it is also contained in the Motor Bakar Jurnal Teknik Mesin. Motor Bakar Jurnal Teknik Mesin publishes author's research results which can be accounted for. This is important for the development of knowledge and increasing its usefulness. Therefore, a coherent and respected network of knowledge needs to be carried out in the Ethics Guidelines for Journal publications. This is a direct reflection of the quality of work of the authors and supporting institutions. 2. Publication Decisions
Before publishing both Online and Print for the Motor Bakar Jurnal Teknik Mesin, the Chief Editor in charge of publishing requested input from other editors as well as support from the reviewer. Where, it is also based on a series of journal publications starting with the submission of manuscripts, editor checks, reviewer checks, layout checks, plagiarism checks and copyrights. When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in a published work, the author's obligation is to immediately notify the editor or publisher of the journal and work with the editor to withdraw or correct the research.

Retraction
The papers published in the Motor Bakar Jurnal Teknik Mesin will be consider to retract in the publication if:
- They have clear evidence that the findings are unreliable, either as a result of misconduct (e.g. data fabri-cation) or honest error (e.g. miscalculation or experimental error)
- the findings have previously been published elsewhere without proper crossreferencing, permission orjustification (i.e. cases of redundant publication)
- it constitutes plagiarism
- it reports unethical research
