Author Guidelines

Globish: An English-Indonesian Journal of English Education and Culture

1. Aims and Scope

Globish: An English-Indonesian Journal of English Education and Culture publishes original research articles and literature reviews in the fields of English language, English education, linguistics, literature, and culture. The journal welcomes manuscripts related to, but not limited to:

  • English Language Education

  • English Language Teaching (ELT)

  • English Skills (Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing)

  • Applied Linguistics

  • English Linguistics

  • English Literature

  • Language and Culture

  • Intercultural Communication

  • English for Specific Purposes (ESP)

  • English for Academic Purposes (EAP)

  • Computer-Assisted Language Learning (CALL)

  • Educational Technology in English Language Teaching

Submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by any other journal.


2. Language

Manuscripts may be written in:

  • English (preferred)

  • Indonesian

Authors are encouraged to ensure that manuscripts written in English have been proofread by a competent English editor before submission.


3. Manuscript Format

Authors should submit manuscripts in:

  • Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx)

General formatting requirements:

  • Font: Times New Roman

  • Font Size: 12 pt

  • Line Spacing: 1.5

  • Paper Size: A4

  • Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides

  • Tables and figures should be embedded within the manuscript.

  • References should include DOI or URL whenever available.

Authors are required to use the official Globish Article Template.


4. Manuscript Structure

The manuscript should be organized as follows:

  • Title

  • Author(s) and Affiliation(s)

  • Abstract

  • Keywords

  • Introduction

  • Research Method

  • Results and Discussion

  • Conclusion

  • Acknowledgements (optional)

  • References

References should follow the APA 7th Edition citation style.


5. Submission Process

All manuscripts must be submitted through the Open Journal Systems (OJS).

Before submission, authors should:

  • Register as an Author in the journal website.

  • Complete all required metadata.

  • Upload the manuscript using the journal template.

  • Complete the online submission process.

6. Submission Preparation Checklist

Before submitting a manuscript, authors should ensure that:

  • The manuscript is original and has not been published elsewhere.

  • The manuscript is not under review by another journal.

  • The manuscript follows the Globish Article Template.

  • All references are cited correctly using APA 7th Edition.

  • Tables and figures are placed appropriately within the manuscript.

  • The manuscript has been checked for grammar and language quality.

  • The manuscript complies with the journal's Publication Ethics and Plagiarism Policy.

  • The similarity index has been checked using plagiarism detection software before submission.


Note: All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening, plagiarism checking using Turnitin, and a double-blind peer-review process before a publication decision is made. Only manuscripts that meet the journal's academic and ethical standards will be accepted for publication.
