Correction and Retraction
Balance Vocation Accounting Journal (BVAJ) is committed to maintaining the accuracy, transparency, and integrity of the scholarly record. Corrections and retractions are handled in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policies and the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Corrections may be issued when errors or inaccuracies are identified in a published article that do not invalidate its overall findings. Depending on the nature and severity of the issue, BVAJ may publish a correction notice, clarification, or additional analysis and link it to the original article to ensure transparency and accuracy.
Retractions may be considered when there is clear evidence that published findings are unreliable due to research misconduct or significant errors, redundant publication, plagiarism, or unethical research practices. Allegations of misconduct will be investigated fairly and objectively in accordance with established publication ethics guidelines. Authors will be given an appropriate opportunity to respond, and independent experts may be consulted when necessary.
When a retraction is warranted, BVAJ will publish a retraction notice explaining the reasons for the decision and link it to the original article to ensure transparency and preserve the integrity of the scholarly record. The original article will remain accessible where appropriate and will be clearly marked as retracted.
BVAJ encourages authors, reviewers, and readers to report suspected errors, inaccuracies, or research misconduct in published articles. The journal will take appropriate corrective action based on the findings of its investigation to safeguard the credibility, reliability, and integrity of research published in accounting and taxation.
