Mandatory Pre-Submission Checklist
Before initiating the online submission portal, authors must ensure that the following requirements are fully met. Submissions lacking these components will be subject to immediate desk return:
- Fully Anonymized Manuscript: The main file must be completely devoid of author names, institutional affiliations, contact emails, and explicit ORCID iDs to preserve the integrity of our Double-Blind Peer Review.
- Template Alignment: The manuscript layout must strictly follow the official NYIMAK layout parameters (Calibri, 12 pt, 1.5 line spacing, maximum 15 pages).
- Reference Software Compliance: All citations must be dynamically managed using Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote, formatted in strict APA Style, and include active DOI links.
Step-by-Step Submission Workflow
Authors can execute their submission smoothly by following these five sequential steps within our OJS ecosystem:
- Step 1 (Account Access): If you are a prospective author, click [Register] to establish your credentials. Ensure you check the "Author" box to enable submission privileges. If you are a registered user, simply click [Login].
- Step 2 (Initiate Submission): Once inside your Publisher Dashboard, navigate to the Submissions tab and click [New Submission]. Select the "Articles" section and formally acknowledge compliance by checking all the journal's foundational requirements.
- Step 3 (Upload Files): Upload your anonymized Microsoft Word file (`.doc` or `.docx`). Categorize the file component precisely as "Article Text". Supplementary files (such as a Cover Letter or Proofreading Certificate) should be uploaded subsequently and designated as "Other".
- Step 4 (Populate Metadata): Input the full structural title, abstract text, and precise index keywords. Crucial Requirement: Authors must click "Add Contributor" to insert the names, institutional affiliations, countries, and email addresses of all co-authors. Metadata accuracy determines indexing reliability.
- Step 5 (Final Confirmation): Thoroughly audit your uploaded files and metadata records, then click [Finish Submission]. An automated confirmation notification will be immediately dispatched to the corresponding author's email.

The operational names, institutional affiliations, and electronic mail addresses entered into the portal of NYIMAK: Journal of Communication will be utilized exclusively for the explicit academic, review, and publication mandates of this journal. The editorial board and the publisher (Universitas Muhammadiyah Tangerang) legally guarantee that these personal metrics will not be exposed, traded, or made available for external commercial extraction or distributed to any third-party entities.
