NYIMAK: Journal of Communication is a fully open-access journal, which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. In accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) definition, users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author.

All articles published in NYIMAK are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License. This permits anyone to copy, redistribute, remix, and build upon the work, provided the original authors are properly credited and the new creations are licensed under identical terms.

Copyright Retention and Author Rights

In alignment with global open-science principles, authors publishing with NYIMAK retain the full, unrestricted copyright and publishing rights to their work without any limitations. Authors grant Universitas Muhammadiyah Tangerang a non-exclusive right to publish the manuscript and identify NYIMAK as the original venue of publication.

Repository and Self-Archiving Policy

Authors are highly permitted and encouraged to deposit all versions of their work—including the Pre-print, Author Accepted Manuscript (AAM), and the final Publisher's Version (Version of Record) into institutional repositories, subject-specific repositories, or personal websites. NYIMAK supports Green Open Access to maximize research visibility, foster academic collaboration, and ensure permanent global preservation.
