FORMULASI DAN VALIDASI INDIKATOR TECHNOPRENEUR

Abstract


Dalam wacana technopreneur hari ini, baik teori maupun praktik, para peneliti masih mengandalkan konsep entrepreneur yang dianggap dapat menjelaskan sikap-sikap dan perilaku wirausaha  yang berbasis teknologi. Tentu saja konsep tersebut memiliki keterbatasan untuk kasus-kasus tertentu, baik pada tingkat regional, lokal, maupun sektoral. Oleh karena itu, wacana akademik tentang konsep technopreneur masih membutuhkan penelitian yang luas, terutama untuk menghasilkan indikator yang andal dan valid. Penelitian ini bermaksud untuk mengembangkan dan memvalidasi indikator technopreneur dengan objek penelitian mahasiswa Institut Teknologi dan Bisnis Ahmad Dahlan di Jakarta. Peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Kami menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan memanfaatkan studi literatur secara ekstensif. Hal studi literatur tersebut menghasilkan 23 indikator technopreneur yang dikelompokkan ke dalam parameter penggunaan teknologi dan informasi, implementasi keilmuan teknis rekayasa, berorientasi tugas dan hasil, pengambil risiko, kepemimpinan, orisinalitas, dan berorientasi masa depan. Kami merinci indikator-indikator tersebut ke dalam konstruk-konstruk yang lebih terukur. Kemudian kami memvalidasi seluruh indikator tersebut dengan menggunakan pemodelan persamaan struktural dengan pendekatan analisis faktor konfirmasi (CFA).  Dengan basis data primer yang kami kumpulkan dengan cara survey terhadap 152 responden mahasiswa, penelitian ini menghasilkan 14 indikator technopreneur yang valid dan andal.
