Author Guidelines

Al-Muyassar: Journal of Arabic Education
Universitas Muhammadiyah Tangerang

1. Aims and Scope

Al-Muyassar: Journal of Arabic Education publishes original scholarly works in the field of Arabic language education and related disciplines. The journal welcomes manuscripts covering, but not limited to, the following areas:

  • Arabic Language Education
  • Arabic Linguistics
  • Arabic Literature
  • Arabic Language Teaching Methodology
  • Curriculum Development for Arabic Education
  • Learning Media and Educational Technology for Arabic Language Instruction
  • Islamic Education related to Arabic Language Studies

Submitted manuscripts must be original, have not been previously published, and must not be under consideration by another journal.


2. Language

Manuscripts may be written in one of the following languages:

  • English
  • Indonesian
  • Arabic

For manuscripts written in Arabic, authors should use Times New Arabic font. Manuscripts written in English or Indonesian should use Book Antiqua font.


3. Manuscript Format

Authors are required to submit manuscripts in one of the following file formats:

  • Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)
  • OpenOffice
  • Rich Text Format (.rtf)

General formatting requirements include:

  • Font size: 12 pt
  • Line spacing: single
  • Tables and figures should be embedded within the text at appropriate locations.
  • Italics should be used instead of underlining, except for URLs where applicable.
  • URLs should be provided for references whenever available.

4. Manuscript Structure

Although the journal does not explicitly prescribe a manuscript structure, authors are encouraged to prepare their articles according to the standard format for empirical research papers:

  1. Title
  2. Author(s) and Affiliation(s)
  3. Abstract
  4. Keywords
  5. Introduction
  6. Research Method
  7. Results and Discussion
  8. Conclusion
  9. References

The manuscript should present a clear research objective, a sound methodology, well-supported findings, and a conclusion that reflects the contribution of the study.


5. Submission Process

All manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the journal's Online Journal System (OJS).

Before submission, authors should:

  • Register as an Author in the journal system.
  • Complete all required metadata.
  • Upload the manuscript file.
  • Finalize the online submission process.

6. Submission Preparation Checklist

Prior to submission, authors should ensure that:

  • The manuscript is original and has not been published elsewhere.
  • The manuscript is not simultaneously under review by another journal.
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word, OpenOffice, or RTF format.
  • All references cited in the text are included in the reference list.
  • Tables and figures are properly inserted within the manuscript.
  • The manuscript complies with the journal's formatting requirements.
  • Any information that could reveal the author's identity has been removed if required for blind peer review.
