Author Guidelines & Submission Requirements

1. General Manuscript Structure & Formatting

Manuscripts submitted to Community Services and Social Work Bulletin (CSWB) should represent original research outcomes or community engagement evaluations. Authors are required to follow the standard IMRaD structure:

  • File Format: Prepared using Microsoft Word (.docx) on A4 paper size.
  • Typography: Set in Book Antiqua, 11 pt font size, with 1.5 line spacing.
  • Length: Maximum of 15 pages including figures, tables, and references.
  • Template: Authors must format their papers according to the official journal template available for download on the sidebar.

2. Originality & Ethical Statement

Submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished work, and not currently under evaluation by any other journal or publisher. Authors are required to adhere to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in these guidelines prior to online submission.

3. References & Citation Style

All cited works within the text must be listed in the References section and arranged alphabetically. To maintain high scholarly standards:

  • Reference Count: Manuscripts should include a minimum of 20 references.
  • Primary Sources: At least 80% of references must consist of primary literature (peer-reviewed journal articles) published within the last 5 years.
  • Citation Standard: Formatted strictly in accordance with APA 7th Edition (American Psychological Association) style.
  • Reference Manager: Authors are strongly advised to use reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.

4. Review Process & Editorial Decisions

All submitted papers undergo a rigorous Double-Blind Peer Review by independent experts appointed according to their subject field. Authors will receive reviewer feedback and editorial recommendations, with opportunities to revise their manuscripts accordingly. Official notifications regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection will be communicated directly to the corresponding author's email address and through the Open Journal System (OJS) dashboard.
