Focus and Scope

Community Services and Social Work Bulletin (CSWB) is an international, peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary journal committed to advancing human welfare, social equity, and quality of life through impactful community engagement, empirical research, and policy-driven interventions. The journal serves as a prominent platform for scholars, social workers, policymakers, and practitioners to disseminate high-quality scholarly works on voluntary action, citizen participation, philanthropy, and non-profit organization management worldwide.

Our publication scope covers academic rigor that transcends conventional classroom boundaries, emphasizing four core pillars: Action, Advocacy, Practice, and Sustainability. CSWB welcomes original empirical research articles, critical reviews, and practical case studies within the following key areas:

  • Community Empowerment & Sustainable Development (Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat)
  • Social Work Practice, Intervention Methods, & Human Services

Peer Review Process

To preserve strict academic integrity, publication ethics, and scientific quality, Community Services and Social Work Bulletin adheres to a rigorous Double-Blind Peer Review Process. Under this policy, the identities of both the authors and reviewers remain mutually anonymous throughout the entire evaluation workflow. Authors are responsible for anonymizing their manuscripts to prevent any direct or indirect identification prior to review.

Each submitted manuscript undergoes an initial desk screening by the Editorial Board for template compliance, scope alignment, and originality (plagiarism threshold). Submissions meeting these preliminary standards are assigned to a minimum of two independent expert reviewers. Based on their comprehensive evaluation reports, the Managing Editor communicates one of four editorial decisions:

1. Accept Submission: The manuscript is accepted for publication as submitted, without any required revisions.
2. Revisions Required: The manuscript is conditionally accepted, subject to minor editorial or conceptual revisions.
3. Resubmit for Review: The manuscript requires substantial structural or methodological revisions and must undergo a second round of peer review.
4. Decline Submission: The manuscript is rejected due to major technical flaws, lack of original contribution, or out-of-scope content.

Open Access Policy

Community Services and Social Work Bulletin provides immediate, permanent, and unrestricted Open Access to all its published content. We believe that providing open and free public access to scientific research fosters global knowledge sharing, drives evidence-based social interventions, and accelerates academic progress.

All articles are published under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0), allowing readers to freely read, download, copy, distribute, and build upon the work, provided proper credit is attributed to the original authors and the resulting work is licensed under identical terms.
