          1. General Manuscript Structure &amp; Formatting

          Manuscripts submitted to <strong>Community Services and Social Work Bulletin (CSWB)</strong> should represent original research outcomes or community engagement evaluations. Authors are required to follow the standard <strong>IMRaD</strong> structure:

          <li><strong>Length:</strong> Maximum of <strong>15 pages</strong> including figures, tables, and references.</li>
          <li><strong>Template:</strong> Authors must format their papers according to the official journal template available for download on the sidebar.</li>

          Submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished work, and not currently under evaluation by any other journal or publisher. Authors are required to adhere to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in these guidelines prior to online submission.

          3. References &amp; Citation Style
        </h3>

          All cited works within the text must be listed in the References section and arranged alphabetically. To maintain high scholarly standards:
        </p>
        <ul style="font-size: 13.5px; color: #4a5568; padding-left: 20px; margin-bottom: 15px; line-height: 1.8;">
          <li><strong>Reference Count:</strong> Manuscripts should include a minimum of <strong>20 references</strong>.</li>
          <li><strong>Primary Sources:</strong> At least <strong>80%</strong> of references must consist of primary literature (peer-reviewed journal articles) published within the <strong>last 5 years</strong>.</li>
          <li><strong>Citation Standard:</strong> Formatted strictly in accordance with <strong>APA 7th Edition</strong> (American Psychological Association) style.</li>
          <li><strong>Reference Manager:</strong> Authors are strongly advised to use reference management software such as <strong>Mendeley</strong>, <strong>Zotero</strong>, or <strong>EndNote</strong>.</li>

          4. Review Process &amp; Editorial Decisions
        </h3>

          All submitted papers undergo a rigorous <strong>Double-Blind Peer Review</strong> by independent experts appointed according to their subject field. Authors will receive reviewer feedback and editorial recommendations, with opportunities to revise their manuscripts accordingly. Official notifications regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection will be communicated directly to the corresponding author's email address and through the Open Journal System (OJS) dashboard.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
