Tadarus Tarbawy: Jurnal Kajian Islam dan Pendidikan • Postgraduate Program, Universitas Muhammadiyah Tangerang

With a strong commitment to academic integrity and global knowledge dissemination, Tadarus Tarbawy: Jurnal Kajian Islam dan Pendidikan is published biannually in June and December. The journal welcomes original, critical, and interdisciplinary contributions addressing curricular transformation, Islamic educational philosophy, teaching methodologies, educational leadership, and broader discourses in contemporary Islamic thought.

The publication schedule is designed to provide authors, reviewers, researchers, practitioners, and readers with clear information regarding the journal's publication cycle. Tadarus Tarbawy strives to ensure that each issue is published according to the announced schedule while maintaining the integrity, quality, and transparency of the editorial process.

1 Publication Frequency

Tadarus Tarbawy publishes two regular issues annually:

  • June Issue: Published in June of each calendar year.
  • December Issue: Published in December of each calendar year.

This biannual cycle enables the journal to provide a consistent platform for empirical research, theoretical developments, and methodological studies in Islamic education without compromising scientific rigor.

2 Manuscript Submission

Tadarus Tarbawy accepts manuscript submissions throughout the year via the online editorial system, unless a specific call for papers or special issue deadline is announced.

Authors are encouraged to submit their manuscripts well in advance. Submission does not guarantee publication in the nearest upcoming issue, as the timeline depends on reviewer responsiveness, required revisions, and editorial compliance.

3. Editorial Processing and Peer Review

All submissions undergo desk review for scope compliance, formatting, and similarity screening. Manuscripts passing initial screening proceed to double-blind peer review. The editorial timeline depends on topic complexity, reviewer availability, and author revision speed. Acceptance within a fixed timeframe is not guaranteed solely based on the submission date.

4. Publication of Accepted Manuscripts

A manuscript is eligible for publication only after formal acceptance, completion of copyediting, and fulfillment of production requirements. Scheduling into the June or December issue is decided by the editorial team based on manuscript readiness, thematic balance, and issue capacity.

5. Publication Preparation and Quality Assurance

Before release, accepted papers undergo rigorous quality control, including layout design, language checks, reference auditing, and metadata verification. Authors are required to review the proof galley within the requested timeframe. Delays in proof approvals may reschedule an article to a subsequent issue.

6. Publication Schedule and Editorial Independence

Tadarus Tarbawy is committed to maintaining its June and December schedule without compromising peer-review rigor. Manuscripts are never accepted merely to fill quotas or meet arbitrary deadlines. Editorial decisions remain completely independent of external, institutional, or financial pressures.

7. Special Issues & Collections

The journal may release special thematic issues on contemporary educational themes, adhering to standard double-blind peer review and COPE principles. Special schedules will be officially announced on the journal website.

8. Delays and Schedule Adjustments

Unforeseen review delays or technical hurdles will be handled transparently. Any necessary postponement beyond June or December will be communicated promptly through our platform to authors and readers.

9. Transparency of Publication Dates

Tadarus Tarbawy publishes complete submission histories—recording received, revised, accepted, and published dates on each article's page and PDF to uphold scholarly transparency.

10. Commitment to Timely Scholarly Communication

Through our biannual releases in June and December, Tadarus Tarbawy provides an open, accessible channel for researchers in Islamic education and related social disciplines. The publication calendar serves as a steady operational framework, ensuring that research rigor, ethical integrity, and responsible scholarship remain paramount.
