Journal of Government and Civil Society (JGCS) (p-ISSN: 2579-4396, e-ISSN: 2579-440X) is an academic journal published biannually by the Government Science Study Program at Universitas Muhammadiyah Tangerang in collaboration with Muhammadiyah College Association of Governmental Science (AIPPTM) and The Association of Indonesian Government Studies Programs (KAPSIPI). Accredited by Indonesia’s Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education as a SINTA 2 journal (Decree No. 225/E/KPT/2022), JGCS emphasizes high-quality research and peer-reviewed articles that contribute to the field of government science. Journal of Government and Civil Society provides a platform for both conceptual studies and empirical research in government science, with a focus on:
- Local and Innovative Government addresses how technology, a community-centered approach, and new governance models may reorganize government structures and improve governance to address current challenges and position the local governments as dynamic institutions that can promote equitable development.
- Democracy and Civil Society addressing community movement collaboratively makes contributions in the areas of community empowerment, educating the nation, strengthening diversity, saving ecological space, and realizing a democratic society
Journal of Government and Civil Society employs a rigorous double-blind peer review to maintain publication standards and is released every April and October, supporting scholarly advancement in government and civil society studies.
